When I was fifteen years old I was hired as a Convenience Store/Gas Station Cashier where I worked by myself and closed in the evenings.  Even at this early age I portrayed a maturity and trustworthiness beyond my years.  From there I worked in a restaurant and then was hired as a clerk in an Antiques/Collectibles store where I worked open to close by myself.

After working several years with minimal supervision I became accustomed to it and decided to become self employed.  I earned a Producer's License to sell Life and Health Insurance and was hired by AFLAC.  I worked with AFLAC for a short while because I realized Sales was not the area I was looking for and thought about ways to integrate my self-taught Computer knowledge with the experience I gained serving others.

In 2001, I became a mother and realized the perfect place for me was at home with my child.  Since then I began working on small projects from home - "testing the waters" as they say, to find my niche.  After being scammed by a Work at Home program, I decided to work completely for myself...which is where I am today.

Over the past few years I have worked in several positions from home, but mostly as a Virtual Assistant type.  I do have children at home with me during the day so interaction with customers over the telephone is not recommended - I will not take on a position where I look unprofessional or compromise the professionalism of my clients.

I am honest, hardworking, and professional regardless of my kids. I've always had children with me since I started working from home and it has never been an issue with any of my employers. I assure you my work is always of excellent quality.

I am available up to 30 hours a week Monday-Saturday (no Sundays) and possibly more if structured hours like '9-5' aren't necessary.

THIS WEBSITE:
I originally created a simply designed site, mostly to inform local clients who I was and the services I offered.  I've changed my focus to serve clients on a National level and felt it necessary to create a website that not only informs but also showcases some of my abilities.  I created all of the images and menus on this website using Photoshop.  I can hand-code HTML if needed but for convenience prefer using programs like FrontPage or Dreamweaver.

** I work remotely so most times my location isn't an issue, but please take this into consideration if you need your project completed immediately and a freelancer closer to you would be more suited for the position. **
